Mr SATISH BABU JANIPIREDDY have been appointed as a Lower limb specialist with special interest in Foot and ankle. Further to his fellowship training in both Adult and Pediatrics feet- he now perform mainly Foot and ankle elective theatre cases in his practice at North Middlesex University hospital which sum up to 80% of his regular operating lists. His typical operating list at North Middlesex university hospital has 3 Forefoot, 1 hind foot and 1-2 common general orthopedic cases. When not performing Hind foot surgeries- the list is filled with either Joint replacement (hip & Knee) or ACL reconstructions. He has taken up the position of Trust LocSSIPs lead (local safety standards for invasive procedures) and brought up the trust compliance from 30 to 83% in a 6 months period. This is in line with the target recommended by the CQC. Through ‘Structured Judgmental reviews’ of orthopedic mortality cases; he contribute to the clinical governance structure of the department and trust along with sharing learning from deaths.  As a T&O lead for the Trauma Steering group- he contribute to the TARN (Trauma audit and research network) liaising orthopedic trauma services at North Middlesex university hospital with that to the Regional trauma Centre at Barts Trust. He take great interest in training and supervising Orthopedic juniors and is involved in teaching programmes such as Metal work meetings, Trauma meetings, FRCS (T&O) exam course and Basic Surgical skills course conducted by the RCS Edinburgh. He is employed by the GMC as an Associate member for conducting PLAB examinations at their Manchester Centre.
